I was going to write a long piece today. I spent a lot of time researching and confirming (with dates, stats, and provenance) all the lies Joe Biden made in the past four years. I mean, I first wrote about Biden in one of my very first political columns way back in 1987, after he was caught plagiarizing the speech of UK politician Neil Kinnock.
That killed Biden’s 1988 run for President, and the plagiarism was compounded when it was also revealed that he had been claiming to have graduated in the top half of his law-school class. In fact, he was ranked #76 out of 85. He dropped out of the race in embarrassment and humiliation
For about two decades after, Biden was considered little more than an object of derision and mockery because of his non-stop prevarication and general sleaziness. He never learned to tell the truth, and he never stopped lying . . . even when there was NO reason to lie (as if there is ever a reason to lie).
About two hours in, I had thousands of words ready to go. The lies, the racist comments, the flip-flops, the deceit, the skullduggery . . . and on and on. The most frequent description I read about him - uttered by numerous of his fellow members of Congress - was, “Joe Biden has always been the biggest liar and bullshitter in a town full of liars and bullshitters.”
And then I said . . . to hell with it. He lost. The long national nightmare is over.
In this case . . . one picture is worth thousands of words.
